Replacing the AC Filter

Filthy Condenser Coils

The dirt prevents the coils from functioning efficiently, leading to the subsequent turning off of your air conditioner. To deal with this, do the following:
- For safety reasons, turn off the AC unit’s power on the main electricity switch.
- Take off the cover of the outdoor AC unit and gently spray it down with a hosepipe. Use low-pressure water because using a strong jet of water may bend and break your coils, causing extensive damage that you may need to pay for.
- Let it dry, put the cover back on and reboot your air conditioner.

Issues With the Thermostat
If your air conditioning unit isn’t coming on, there may be a glitch with the thermostat. Take a quick look at it. Check and make sure it is set to cool and at the right Celsius or Fahrenheit. Programing the temperature on the thermostat is a must because turning the thermostat to cool mode is not enough to turn the AC unit on.
